Louie Simon, Ph.D., Editor in Chief

Dr. Simon has more than twenty years’ experience as an editor for university presses and fifteen years’ experience teaching literature and writing at the college level. He has been a co-writer, editor, and editorial consultant for MindTime Inc. for the last four years, helping to define terminology and maintain a consistent and reader-friendly style of communication.

Louie received his Bachelor of Liberal Studies from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, in 1984. He received his MA in English from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, in 1992 and then was awarded the prestigious Crown Fellowship for incoming graduate students at Loyola University in Chicago, where he received his Ph.D. with Honors in English in 1998. He then taught graduate and undergraduate courses at Boise State University from 1998 to 2005. He was honored as Teacher of the Year by students in the English department in 2004-5.

Louie is also a professional drummer and drum teacher and brings his many years’ experience in the recording business to the production of MindTime audio podcasts.
